- First, open the custom folder icon in preview (right-click on image > open with preview)
- Once the image has been opened in Preview, cmd+C or go to edit > copy so that the image is on your clipboard
- Right-click on the folder you wish to customize and select “Get info”
- Select the tiny folder icon and the very top-left corner in the “Get info” window then cmd+V to paste
- Have fun with your new folder icon!

- Right-click on the folder icon you wish to customize and click “Properties”
- Click on the “Customize” tab, go to the “Folder icons” section and then click on “Change icons”
- Click “Browse” and find the customized icon you wish to replace it with > click “Ok”
- Enjoy your new customized folder icon!
