Download Mac Vipre Business Agent
In October 2013, Microsoft released Windows 8.1. Due to the large number of changes and upgrades, VIPRE will need to be removed prior to starting the process.
The instructions below outline the process for successfully upgrading.

- Navigate to the Control Panel and select 'Uninstall a program'
- Locate VIPRE and select Uninstall
- Once completed, reboot if prompted.
Once VIPRE is removed, Windows can be upgraded:

Finally, once the installation is complete, reinstall VIPRE:

If you do not have a SMTP server on your network, just leave the 'SMTP Server' field blank and Vipre will use a free online SMTP service to forward it to your desired e-mail address, much like someone outside your office sending you an e-mail. Enter an outbound e-mail port that your firewall will let out, like 25, or 587. and then fill out the from and to e-mail addresses on the page and you should be good to go. You will also need to leave the 'Authenicification' Fields blank and the 'Requires Authentication' box unchecked.
