If a 'Remote Desktop Connection' window appears below, please click the 'Connect' button in that window.

If this is your first time connecting from this computer, please wait while necessary client software downloads. The software is approximately 8MB and could take a few minutes to download via a slow connection. If you have a high-speed connection they should download in less than 3 minutes. You may be prompted with a security warning window or a prompt above to install the client ActiveX controls. After you click 'Yes' on these prompts, please wait up to approximately 3 minutes while the updates configure themselves. After the updates are finished configuring, the login screen will be displayed.

  • Printing from a Mac/Apple Computer 1. Ensure you are logged out of the Right Networks hosted desktop and download this program. Navigate to your 'Downloads' folder. Open the 'TSPrintClient.zip' file. Launch the file 'TSPrintClient.pkg.' Click 'Continue' when prompted. Click the 'Install' button.

If this is NOT your first time connecting from this computer, please note that Microsoft security updates can affect the process of connecting to secure Remote Desktop systems like Right Networks. You may be prompted regarding whether you trust the computer you are connecting to (asp.rightnetworks.com). After you click 'Yes' on these prompts, the login screen should be displayed momentarily.

If You Are Having Problems Connecting

Microsoft security updates can affect the process of connecting to a remote desktop systems like Right Networks. Please review the following to configure your system as required by these security updates. You can print these instructions by right-clicking on this text and selecting the Print.. option.

Make Sure that Right Networks is in Internet Explorer's Trusted Sites and that the Necessary ActiveX Controls are Enabled:

  1. Download this iesettings.reg file, click 'Run', 'Yes', then 'OK'.
  2. Close all Internet Explorer windows and re-visit www.rightnetworks.com, etc.
  3. Return to this page and press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the window and activate the client software.
  4. If the remote desktop has not yet appeared, check for an ActiveX prompt at the top of the screen, click it, if present, and choose to run the ActiveX control.

Make Sure that your Copy of Windows is Up-to-Date:

  1. Use Windows Update to make sure your Windows software is up-to-date here.
  2. Once you have updated your computer, return to this window and press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the window and active the client software.

If You Are Still Having Problems Connecting

If enabling the control does not resolve the problem, please login using Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection application which is built into Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Instructions for connecting via the Remote Desktop Connection application are available here.

Connect from a Mac Computer

This article details the steps needed to successfully configure the Remote Desktop Connection for a Macintosh computer.

This process will require you to enter your Right Networks password. If you are not sure what your Right Networks password is, you can reset if by following this link: Reset Right Networks Password.

You will need to be logged out of Right Networks in order to complete this process.

Download the Macintosh Setup Wizard from Right Networks: Mac OS Setup Wizard.

This will download the Setup Wizard to your Downloads folder as a *.dmg file with the Right Networks logo:

For most Mac setups, you will receive a warning that this application was downloaded from the Internet. Click Open to continue.

The initial page of the Setup Wizard will provide instructions in case your QuickBooks files are in the QuickBooks for Mac format.

Since your files are likely already uploaded to your Right Networks drive, you can skip this step by clicking Next.

The Setup Wizard will begin preparing your computer to log in.

You will be prompted to answer some basic questions:

Do you want to upload files?
Since you have already been set up to access Right Networks in the past, it should be perfectly safe to choose No. Only choose Yes if you have new QuickBooks files that have not been used on Right Networks before.

Do you want this Application to search for QuickBooks files on this computer to upload?
If you said No to the previous question, this question will be inaccessible.

To proceed to the next stage of the setup, enter the Right Networks credentials which were supplied in your Right Networks Welcome Email.

If you chose to upload files, the next screen will prompt you to add or remove files to the list for upload. If you chose to have the Setup Wizard find files for you, they will be listed here.

You can add and remove files to refine this list before continuing.

Mac

The Setup Wizard will now configure your Mac to log in. It will perform the following tasks automatically:

Once installed, go to your Applications folder and find Microsoft Remote Desktop.

Double-click the Microsoft Remote Desktop icon to Launch Microsoft Remote Desktop.

You will see the Right Networks profile in the list; this is the profile that was created for you by the Setup Wizard. Double-click on the profile to log in.
