Setting up Oculus – Hardware

Step 1: Connect Headset Cable to your computer

Plug both the HDMI connector and the USB connector to your computer. If your computer does not have a HDMI input, you can also use the DVI included in the box.

Step 2: Connect the positional tracker cables

Insert the sync cable and usb cable to your positional tracker and connect the ends to the power and USB connectors. You can then simple attach the positional tracker to your laptop/screen.

Step 3: Power up the headset!

So if you want to watch 3D Blu-ray Video in Oculus Rift, just open it with Skybox VR Player. While to watch a 3D Blu-ray disc, there is a necessary condition, you must have a Blu-ray drive that can read the disc. If you don’t have one you need to rip that 3D Blu-ray Disc to a side by side or over-under format, which can be done on a VR headset in 3D. Step 2. Customize profile for your Oculus Rift

When you have added the video, you will see the main title that has been selected for you. The default video format is MP4. Click on MP4 Video-Edit to customize the profile for your oculus rift. You can modify the video codec, resolution, aspect ratio, bit rate to meet different VR headsets. With Oculus rift, it’s recommended to use H.264 for better video quality. Please note that resolution above 1080p is no necessary.
