Low Storage Performance

The cache value depends on the speed of your Internet connection, the higher it is the more cache it will take. The standard value of 32 megabytes is suitable for not very high-speed channels of 10-30 megabits, for a 100 megabit channel you can set a value of 100-200 megabytes (sometimes even more) and experimentally select the optimal value.

Also, disable the following options:

• Write out untouched blocks every 2 minutes
• Write out finished pieces immediately

This is the most common problem and it arises from a simple misunderstanding. Many users do not pay attention on how many people distribute the file and how many times it was downloaded. Some torrent trackers usually indicate the number of “distributors” – seeds, and the number of loaders – peers. Downloading does not affect anything, but distributors help you to download the file as quickly as possible and the more of them, the sooner the download will finish. Naturally, if the distributors are very few (1-2 people) – then the download speed, as a rule, should be lower than in case with the torrent which is distributed by 100 people.

There are a number of things you can do to boost up Google Chrome’s speed:

1. Limit Extensions. Browser extensions can be very useful but they eat up memory and can be reason of getting slow download speed on browser.
